It was a dark and stormy night… no, come on, we’re joking!<\/em>
Ours is a story of passion and love where there is no room for darkness and storms.<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The dawn of a dream\u2026<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

It all began in 1954, when Grandfather Filippo<\/strong> and Grandmother Teresa<\/strong> decided to build their future in the hospitality industry by opening the La Montanina guesthouse, together with their children Annamaria and Dario. A courageous choice<\/strong>, because although dedication and determination were strong, so too were the commitments and difficulties.<\/p>

Grandmother Teresa, a woman with a big heart and a passionate midwife, refused to give up her job despite the impossible shifts and did her utmost<\/strong> to manage everything. Little Annamaria<\/strong> was still too young \u2013 \u201ca little bit of cheese?\u201d<\/em> \u2013 but always ready to help out.<\/p>

Grandfather Filippo pursued his dream<\/strong> by tackling the initial financial challenges with passion and unwavering tenacity<\/strong>. At that time, Livigno was beginning to make a name for itself as a tourist destination and still offered few accommodation facilities: this meant that there was always a good clientele.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Annamaria<\/strong> grows up, blossoms and captures the heart of Modesto<\/strong>, the tall, dark-haired, friendly driver who courts her relentlessly until she finally says “yes”. Time and money are scarce, but passion and hard work abound: nine children are born from that great love<\/strong>: Elisabetta, Gianluigi, Andrea, Giovanna, Simona, Gianluigi, Nicola, Michele and Valentina<\/strong>, future followers of the great dream of their grandparents and parents.<\/p>

As the family grew, La Montanina grew with it, becoming larger and larger, more and more welcoming, more and more like home<\/strong>. Today, the three of us sisters \u2013 Valentina, Giovanna and Simona<\/strong> \u2013 manage it, cherish it and improve it.
